Democrat Stacey Abrams, the Democrat who until this day claims the governor seat was stolen from her in Georgia, even though she can’t show a shred of evidence of this theft, she still is portrayed as a victim by the leftist press.
In what is becoming increasingly a hypocritical stance by the left, we see the same response we saw when Clinton was in office, they say one thing, but if it’s their man being accused, they do something completely different.
Abrams, when running for office, said she felt so strongly about women needing to be heard, their voice needs to be the one that was believed. She promised if elected governor she would create the Georgia Commission on Human Rights, this would be solely in place to investigate such claims. In other words, she was going to set up a commission that would find every man guilty until they were able to provide proof of innocence, the opposite of what is promised to us in the constitution.
But now that an accusation is against the man she is hoping to be chosen as Vice President; the song has changed, she is now singing to a much different tune.
Abrams said, “I believe that women deserve to be heard, and I believe that they need to be listened to, but I also believe that those allegations have to be investigated by credible sources. The New York Times did a deep investigation, and they found that the accusation was not credible. I believe Joe Biden. I believe that he is a person who has demonstrated that his love of family, his love of our community has been made perfectly clear through his work as a congressional leader and as an American leader. I know Joe Biden, and I think that he is telling the truth and that this did not happen.”
Host Don Lemon then brought up Abrams’ tweet in 2018 that it was “shameful” that then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination was “being rushed forward.” And “survivors of violence always deserve to be supported and to have their voices heard.” And asked her if she was “applying a different standard now?”
The complaint from Democrats is that the two cases, Kavanaugh and Biden, are much different, and they are right. What we have against Biden is far more damning. They fail to say that Ford, in her attacks against Kavanaugh could not get one of the people she named as being at the site to agree with her, all of them said it never happened, yet Tara Reade has had multiple people say they were told of the story or know of the incident.
As always seems to be the case, when the same situation, or as we have here, a much more severe case is brought against a Democrat, the left seems to think there are two measuring sticks to judge each case by. If the person accused is a Republican, they demand that the woman be heard, even if their story is full of holes. Yet, take the same type of allegation against a Democrat, one that is backed up with multiple witnesses, a mother calling to Larry King, as we saw in the last week, now this is not credible, Reade needs to shut her mouth and know her place.
When #MeToo was busy attacking everyone, I said in the Kavanaugh hearing that they would be dead soon due to their politicization, now they too are sticking up for Biden, thus pounding the last nail in their coffin, they have thrown something away, something that had a stigma that really could have helped rape and sexual assault victims, instead of wrapped themselves up with partisan blankets, ended up smothering the movement to death.
