In what is becoming too commonplace today, schools, both colleges, and high schools, to stop from offending some people are halting all pledges of allegiance to the flag; sadly, many are silent, they don’t want to risk offending some, but many are not willing to put up with this.
This is not new; we have seen some attack reciting the pledge due to it has ‘in G-d we trust,” but there has never been an attack like now, where the pledge itself is seen as racist.
We have articles in teachers journals were teachers are proudly saying they will not do this, they see it as racist in nature.
Yet in the latest challenge, we hear that this nation is evil, saying the pledge supports systemic racism. Others are openly showing nothing but contempt for this nation.
I have always had a firm belief, one I was taught by my father, it is this:
This nation has many faults; over time, we have seen changes and corrected many of the faults within this nation, saw evils it once supported, like slavery, where brother was set against brother to overthrow the blight this had on our nation. We saw segregation, race laws, many marched, lost their liberty, limbs, even their lives to overcome this, but they have. If you don’t feel this country is redeemable and that it is evil, then do us all a favor and get the hell out of it.
Yet today, we see no need to correct this notion, rather a movement of people claiming one segment of this population is somehow victims. There is no evidence to support this; contrary, it supports just the opposite. Now we are told we can’t show the love of this nation lest we offend them. Well, I have news for them. I could care less if they are offended; this nation is worth being proud of.
Here is an example of what we should be doing when the far-leftist educators are stripping the pledge of allegiance from our sporting programs, when we are told we can’t say them anymore, here we see what the right response should be. Grab something to dab your eyes, enjoy watching patriots standing up for this great nation of ours.
