A “Jews for Trump” vehicle rally rolled through the streets of New York City on Sunday afternoon — and met with violence from left-wing counter-demonstrators in Manhattan. Rocks were thrown, cars sprayed with pepper spray, children attacked, fists were thrown, fights break out.
According to Yeshiva World News, “1,000 cars boasting Trump flags from Monsey, Flatbush, Boro Park, and Manhattan” were expected to participate, culminating in a rally in Marine Park, Brooklyn.
Some participants began in Monsey, New York, some 60 miles away:
Others launched from Brooklyn. Mark Kennedy, narrating on Periscope, said: “We’ve had enough. Enough of the antisemitism … and just enough of this communist crap.
“This is the first time I’ve thing such a thing in my lifetime, and it’s just amazing,” he said, referring to the parade. It’s unity, love, everyone is happy, everyone is excited — you know? This is America.”
However, not everyone was happy — at least, not in Manhattan, where black-clad counter-demonstrators attacked the caravan:
Others hurled rocks and eggs at the caravan, or fired pepper spray:
A woman sprayed the children and adults after running up to the car and spraying the children first with pepper spray, then when the father stopped and stepped out to stop it people chased him trying to spray him with pepper spray. The police did arrest the woman who did this.
The man told Fox News that the kids “are now left traumatized” and still “coughing from” the residue.
Later, a scuffle broke out between the pro- and anti-Trump crowd in the middle of a street. Masked protesters could be seen in one clip converging on a vehicle doused in red paint as “YMCA” is blasting in the background.
“Go home! We don’t you here!” somebody in the crowd shouts.
“Go back to Long Island!” another person shouts.
A video posted on Twitter shows a pro-Trump caravan led by former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani shows being pelted with eggs.
In the clip, Giuliani can be seen rolling down the window from the passenger side. He briefly speaks to a police sergeant before the car drives away. Protesters can be heard shouting expletives at the former mayor.
A spokesperson for the New York Police Department said 11 people were taken into custody after the rally erupted into chaos and violence Sunday afternoon. Six people were charged with disorderly conduct, obstruction of government administration, and harassment. In contrast, a seventh person was charged with assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest, the NYPD said Monday.
A convoy of hundreds of cars draped with American flags and “Trump 2020” banners rolled slowly through Manhattan and Brooklyn on Sunday afternoon. The caravan traveled from Coney Island to the Trump Tower in Manhattan before heading to a rally in a Brooklyn park.
As we see more of the so-called “peaceful” counter-protests by the left, one must wonder, when will the press ever come out and tell the truth about these liberal anarchists?
