DNI Director says Claims of Russian Involvement With Hunter Biden’s Computer is False.

John Ratcliffe, the director of national intelligence, said Monday that the intelligence community does not have evidence that the release of emails from Hunter Biden’s purported laptop is part of a Russian intelligence operation, as Rep. Adam Schiff and other Democrats have suggested.

“It’s simply not true,” Ratcliffe said in an interview on Fox Business’ “Mornings with Maria” when asked about Schiff’s claim.

On Friday, during an interview, Schiff accused President Donald Trump of aiding Russia’s propaganda efforts when he touted a series of New York Post stories based on emails purported to be from Biden’s laptop.

Rudy Giuliani, a personal lawyer for Trump, provided the alleged Biden documents to The Post. He claims he obtained them from the owner of a computer shop in Delaware who says that Biden dropped off his computer for repair in April 2019 but never came back to get it.

RELATED: Adam Schiff Accuses Trump Of Helping Kremlin ‘Propaganda Coup’ By Touting Hunter Biden Emails

The Democrats, their partners in the press, and Schiff have claimed that Russia was most likely involved in this, aid in getting the emails or helping to release them. They have pointed to Giuliani’s interactions late last year and earlier this year with Andrii Derkach, a Ukrainian lawmaker who the U.S. government-sanctioned last month because of his ties to Russian intelligence.

Ratcliffe pushed back on Schiff’s conspiracy theory.

“Let me be clear,” he said Monday, “the intelligence community doesn’t believe that because there is no intelligence that supports that.”

“We have shared no intelligence with [Schiff] or any other member of Congress that Hunter Biden’s laptop is part of a Russian disinformation campaign,” he continued.

Ratcliffe said that he would know because of his position as intelligence chief whether or not the laptop was part of a Russian disinformation effort.

“If it was I would know that, and it’s not,” he said.

In response to Schiff’s comments Ratcliffe said he is “using the intelligence community to leverage some political narrative.”

“Don’t drag intelligence community into this,” he warned the California Democrat.

“Hunter Biden’s laptop is not part of some Russian disinformation campaign, and I think it is clear that the American people know that.”

The Biden campaign and Hunter Biden have not disputed the authenticity of any of the emails from his purported laptop that have been published so far. They have also not denied that Biden dropped off the laptop at a computer shop last year.

Fox News reported Friday that a recipient of a Biden email in one of the Post’s stories confirmed its authenticity.

Conservatives Staging Free Speech Rally Attacked, Event Organizer Left Bloody Mess

A free speech demonstration staged by conservative activists quickly fell apart in downtown San Francisco on Saturday after several hundred counterprotesters surged the area, outnumbering and attacking those gathered, including knocking one in the mouth.

A photographer working for The Associated Press witnessed a Trump supporter being taken away in an ambulance and an injured San Francisco police officer on the ground by San Francisco’s United Nations Plaza.

A group called Team Save America organized the rally to protest Twitter, which it said squelches conservative speech. Members of the group wore red “Make America Great Again” Trump campaign hats and carried pro-police “Thin Blue Line” flags and U.S. flags.

Philip Anderson, the organizer of the event, posted photos to social media of his bloody mouth with a front tooth missing and another hanging loosely.

Democrats And Journalists Circulate Fake Email Saying Iowa Farm Bureau Retracted Endorsement For Joni Ernst

A group of Democratic political operatives and journalists circulated a fake email on Twitter on Sunday that the Iowa Farm Bureau retracted its endorsement of Sen. Joni Ernst, a move which would have been a heavy blow to the Republican’s re-election bid.

The fabricated email asserted that the farm bureau was retracting its support for Ernst because of her debate performance earlier this week against challenger Theresa Greenfield.

The document posted online listed the recipient email address as “xxxx@hotmail.com.”

Matt Whitlock, a senior adviser for the National Republicans Senatorial Committee, documented several Democrats and journalists who fell for the fake email.

Rachel Irwin, the communications director for the Senate Majority PAC, a group aligned with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, linked to another tweet of the email, adding the commentary: “Wow.”

Irwin said she deleted her tweet after learning it was false.

David Axelrod, the former Obama strategist, retweeted a copy of the email. Journalist Jeff Greenfield posted the email and said it was as consequential as the AFL-CIO labor union pulling an endorsement from a Democrat. Huffington Post’s S.V. Date and Vox’s Matt Yglesias also circulated the email.

RELATED: High School decides that Pledge Of Allegiance is Too controversial at Game, Crowds In Stand Say no!

They deleted their tweets after the Farm Bureau issued its statement saying the email was fake.

“Recently, a fake email has been circulating through social media that Senator Ernst no longer has the support of Iowa Farm Bureau or our members,” the bureau said in a statement.

“This email is fake, and any news reports that speak to its validity are false.”

“She continues to have our full support.”

Ernst trails Greenfield in most polls by several points, according to the website FiveThirtyEight.

It is unclear where the email came from. The earliest reference to it is from a Twitter user with the handle “@DevonMLewis.”

The user, whose profile says they are a retiree from Iowa, posted a copy of the email Saturday night. The same account, which has around 100 followers, published a tweet on Friday night saying that “rumor has it” that the bureau had retracted its endorsement.

An account with the handle “@writersiowa” circulated the email to its 2,300 followers on Saturday. It began to gain traction on Sunday until the farm bureau issued its statement.

The Devon M. Lewis account claimed on Sunday to have received the email from a friend with the Farm Bureau.

“A Farm Bureau member friend of mine received this email update and forwarded it to me. I have given a media source the entire email unredacted,” they wrote.

The account has numerous endorsements for Joe Biden and Greenfield, the Democrat running against Ernst.

Senator Johnson Wants Answers from FBI After Agency’s Silence on Biden Laptop Bombshell

Republican senators are asking pointed questions of the FBI about a laptop computer that contained information about Hunter Biden on its hard drive.

Republican Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin has written FBI Director Christopher Wray to learn whether the FBI did, in fact, take possession of the computer, as claimed by the Delaware computer repair shop owner who shared a copy of the hard drive with former New York City mayor and President Donald Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani.

Giuliani in turn passed it on to the New York Post, which last week reported that it contained emails concerning Hunter Biden’s business dealing in Ukraine and China and their possible connections with his father, former Vice President Joe Biden.

In the letter, Johnson said the shop owner “informed us that he provided its contents to the Federal Bureau of Investigation in response to a December 9, 2019 grand jury subpoena.”

Ten months later, Johnson wrote, the FBI needs to supply some answers.

TRENDING: Biden: Muslims Will Serve ‘At Every Level’ of His Administration

“As the first step in our due diligence, committee staff contacted FBI officials and asked for confirmation of certain facts in an attempt to validate the whistleblower’s claims and assertions. Unfortunately, several days later, the FBI responded that it would not confirm or deny any information identified by the committee even though several of our questions were not related to the possible existence of an ongoing grand jury investigation,” Johnson, who chairs the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, wrote.

“I have a responsibility to validate and verify the contents of any information produced to my committee. The committee must know if it receives information that could be fraudulent or not accurate. As my staff explained to FBI officials, this information is crucial for several reasons. For example, if any information offered to the committee was linked to a foreign adversary’s attempt to interfere in the election, I would expect the FBI to ensure the committee is protected and receives a defensive briefing,” he wrote.

“Similarly, knowingly providing false information to Congress is a crime, and I would expect the FBI to have informed me if, after having been given notice of what we received, this may have occurred. That is precisely why my staff reached out to the FBI. For these reasons, the committee must know whether the FBI has assessed the validity of materials the whistleblower has provided, and what, if any, actions the FBI has taken since obtaining this information,” he wrote.

Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa, who last month co-authored a report condemning Hunter Biden’s business dealings in Ukraine and China while his father was vice president, wrote in a Twitter post that the FBI needs to give some answers.

In an appearance Sunday on “Sunday Morning Futures,” Johnson said the FBI needs to reveal what was on the computer,” according to Fox News.

“The FBI has a duty to inform us. If they believe this was maybe Russian disinformation, they should give us a defensive briefing,” Johnson said. “If, for example, they also believe that what information this whistleblower gave us is fraudulent, that would also be a crime, and the FBI should tell us that.”

Johnson wants to know if the FBI has a reason for keeping quiet.

“Why did they sit on it? Are they covering up just because Hunter Biden might be engaged in things that also maybe should have been investigated and possibly prosecuted? Do we have two systems of justice: one for Democrats and one for Republicans? One for the well-connected versus one for the rest of the Americans?” he asked, according to Fox.

Johnson also said that he found it odd the way the Biden campaign reacted to one published email’s claim that the head of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma met with the former vice president. Joe Biden has often said he never intersected with his son’s business dealings.

“The Biden campaign, all they’ve done to refute or deny any of this is to say that the meeting one of these emails revealed that Vice President Biden had with the No. 3 in control of Burisma never showed up on his official calendar,” Johnson said, according to Fox.

“There’s all kinds of meetings that didn’t show up on his official calendar. This wouldn’t surprise me if this one didn’t.”

During Johnson’s appearance on “Sunday Morning Futures,” host Maria Baritiromo asked Johnson about a news report claiming that the subpoena served on the repair shop owner was signed by an FBI agent who has been working on cases linked to child pornography.

“I think you just made the connection. Again, this is what the FBI, I think, has to come clean about,” Johnson said.

“I don’t want to speculate, other than to say that — what I said publicly before. Our report uncovered so many troubling connections, so many things that need to be investigated, that I really think we’re just scratching the surface,” Johnson said.

“And, yes, I have heard all kinds of things that I think will probably be revealed over the next few days.”

Elections Chairman Resigns After Getting Caught Stealing, Defacing Trump Signs

A longtime election official has resigned from his post after he and his wife apparently teamed up to swipe and vandalize Trump-Pence campaign signs in a South Carolina neighborhood.

Dean Smith, a 15-year member of Georgetown County’s elections board and its chairman up until last week, resigned Wednesday after a deer camera set up in a yard appeared to capture an individual removing and defacing Trump campaign signs, according to GAB News.

Smith offered his resignation within the first few minutes of the Georgetown County Board of Voter Registration and Elections meeting that day.

Before he was videotaped leaving the meeting, Smith read a prepared statement to the attendees, acknowledging his actions were “a brief lapse in judgment on my part [that] might become a distraction [to the] conduct of this very important election. I therefore hereby resign from this board effective immediately.”

TRENDING: Israel & Bahrain to establish diplomatic ties in Manama ceremony

While he did not comment directly about his involvement in the incident, Smith added, “It had been an honor and privilege to work with all of you. I’m very proud of the 15 years I’ve been involved in Georgetown County elections, and I’m sorry it has to end like this.”

GAB News pursued Smith as he attempted to exit the meeting premises, asking if he personally defaced any Trump campaign signs. Smith walked briskly ahead of the reporter, remaining silent as he left the building. After climbing into a vehicle’s passenger seat, Smith held papers in front of his face while the car drove away.

“I’ve always prided myself that when I walk in that door I’m not a Republican or Democrat,” Smith, 71, told the Coastal Ohttps://coastalobserver.com/elections-chairman-quits-over-campaign-sign-dispute/,bserver. “I’m just an American and a Georgetown County citizen.”

Earlier in the week, Smith and his wife Rita — the president of the Rosecrest Homeowners Association — were named in a Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office report claiming Dean Smith “helped his wife deface a Trump/Pence campaign sign,” the outlet reported.

The sheriff’s office investigation was sparked by an anonymous photographer who installed the camera after his Trump signs kept mysteriously disappearing. Karol Anderson, chair of the county’s Republican Party, and Jerry Rovner, who chairs the 7th Congressional District GOP Committee, were the ones who filed the report.

“The camera showed someone takes one sign and damages another by writing ‘dump’ over Trump’s name on Oct. 4. Rovner and Anderson said they didn’t recognize the person, so they put three photos on social media via GAB News,” the Coastal Observer reported.

“The complainants stated they did not know the offenders but put the photos on social media via GAB News and received approximately five phone calls from people who identified the offenders from the photos,” the sheriff’s office report said.

According to GAB, Rita Smith was identified as the person “taking one sign and damaging another by writing the word Dump over the name Trump,” while authorities were told that Dean Smith was the getaway driver.

TRENDING: Pro-Trump Union Blasts Biden for Lying About Endorsement

However, WPDE-TV reported, also citing the sheriff’s office report, that Dean Smith was the one who allegedly defaced the one sign while removing the other, before being driven away by his wife.

The sheriff’s office has since referred the matter to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division for further investigation.

Rita Smith told the Coastal Observer that she received some forewarning of GAB’s social media photo blitz when a neighbor who she had argued with in September over his Trump flag cracked the famous catchphrase to her, “Smile, you’re on candid camera.”

She admitted to defacing the Trump campaign sign, but justified removal of the signage, claiming the signs were “a violation of our HOA covenants.”

“I had seen some signs that were at the entrance to Rosecrest property and it is very vague as to where the property lines are. And I believe those signs were on Rosecrest property and they were a violation of our HOA covenants. And so, I removed them,” she told GAB. “If there is anything here, I think it is an honest misunderstanding.”

Smith said the sign debacle kicked off in September, when another Rosecrest resident complained about the Trump flag hoisted over a neighbor’s garage. Smith told the Coastal Observer that after she and a fellow board member challenged the resident with the Trump flag, he screamed at them “in a political tirade.”

“Smith said a Trump sign then appeared on common property at the Rosecrest entrance. She removed it. Another sign appeared,” the Coastal Observer reported. According to Smith, only real estate signs are allowed.

“Our emotions got the best of us,” Smith told the Coastal Observer of the removal and defacing of the signs.

“It was because we were angry with the other resident,” her husband added.

In a statement to WPDE, Dean Smith described the problem as “an HOA issue.”

“The people that reported this, put a sign on someone else’s property without their knowledge, and they insulted and attacked my wife who is the HOA president and asked them to get rid of the signs. The camera that took our picture was also put on someone else’s property,” he said.

The Smiths told the Coastal Observer they have filed their own report with the sheriff’s office, claiming they are now the target of harassment.

High School decides that Pledge Of Allegiance is Too controversial at Game, Crowds In Stand Say no!

In what is becoming too commonplace today, schools, both colleges, and high schools, to stop from offending some people are halting all pledges of allegiance to the flag; sadly, many are silent, they don’t want to risk offending some, but many are not willing to put up with this.

This is not new; we have seen some attack reciting the pledge due to it has ‘in G-d we trust,” but there has never been an attack like now, where the pledge itself is seen as racist.

We have articles in teachers journals were teachers are proudly saying they will not do this, they see it as racist in nature.

Yet in the latest challenge, we hear that this nation is evil, saying the pledge supports systemic racism. Others are openly showing nothing but contempt for this nation.

TRENDING: Biden: Muslims Will Serve ‘At Every Level’ of His Administration

I have always had a firm belief, one I was taught by my father, it is this:

This nation has many faults; over time, we have seen changes and corrected many of the faults within this nation, saw evils it once supported, like slavery, where brother was set against brother to overthrow the blight this had on our nation. We saw segregation, race laws, many marched, lost their liberty, limbs, even their lives to overcome this, but they have. If you don’t feel this country is redeemable and that it is evil, then do us all a favor and get the hell out of it.

Yet today, we see no need to correct this notion, rather a movement of people claiming one segment of this population is somehow victims. There is no evidence to support this; contrary, it supports just the opposite. Now we are told we can’t show the love of this nation lest we offend them. Well, I have news for them. I could care less if they are offended; this nation is worth being proud of.

Here is an example of what we should be doing when the far-leftist educators are stripping the pledge of allegiance from our sporting programs, when we are told we can’t say them anymore, here we see what the right response should be. Grab something to dab your eyes, enjoy watching patriots standing up for this great nation of ours.

Israel & Bahrain to establish diplomatic ties in Manama ceremony

From Debka

A joint US-Israel delegation is due in Manama on Sunday, Oct. 18 to sign a formal treaty establishing diplomatic relations between Bahrain and Israel. US Treasury Steve Mnuchin heads the large US delegation attending the ceremony. The Israeli delegation will be led by National Security Adviser Meir Ben-Shabbat. The two signatories are to next open embassies in each other’s countries.

DEBKA file reported earlier.

Heading a large official delegation, US Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin flies on Saturday, Oct. 17 direct from Tel Aviv to the capitals of Bahrain and United Arab Emirates – and back by Tuesday, traveling along an unprecedented time-saving route. His important mission is to pad out those Gulf nations’ normalization agreements with Israel with strategic, economic and regional content.

Mnechin’s role as senior executor of US sanctions against Iran, the latest of which was an embargo on 18 Iranian banks, will not be lost on Tehran. But over and above this role, is the Trump administration’s drive for this epic breakthrough to plant a US-led regional security partnership in this volatile region, allowing American forces to shift aside and focus on other global rivals, like China and Russia. No more than modest American assistance in military systems and training is expected to be needed to anchor US influence in the region, once the Israel-UAE-Bahrain alliance is up and running. Furthermore, its members will be less inclined to shop for Russian and Chinese arms.

Gulf rulers will also be able to openly avail themselves of capital, security assistance, political support and trade with Israel, instead of seeking it under the table or outside the region. China may soon sense the curtailment of its diplomatic footprint in the Gulf with the decline of its economic input, another of Washington’s targets.

RELATED: Trump Nominated For Nobel Peace Prize

Normal relations with Gulf partners will also offer Israel fresh opportunities for such projects as the contract for the operation of a section of Haifa port that was awarded to the Shanghai International Port Group. Washington was much put out by this transaction although the the US Navy’s Sixth Fleet continues to make regular calls to Haifa. Today, companies like the Dubai-based port operator would offer alternatives.

The security interchanges maintained secretly between Israel and several Arab states may now break the visibility barrier for Gulf governments. Constantly aware of the threat from Iran, they have proved to be a thriving market for Israel’s cutting-edge arms and military technology including cyber defense, UAV systems and spyware.

In the uncertain pre-election climate in Washington, the rapprochement between Israel and America’s Arab friends is seen as a security prop for US strategic interests. The job of nailing down the benefits of Trump’s Gulf diplomatic venture falls to  Mnechin and a wide-ranging delegation, including Avi Berkowitz, Assistant to the President, and Special Representative for International Negotiations and US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman.

Pro-Trump Union Blasts Biden for Lying About Endorsement

Pa. Boilermakers Trustee: ‘Nobody from his staff—nobody—has ever spoken with us’

From Washington Free Beacon by Yuichiro Kakutani

A top official at one of Pennsylvania’s most powerful labor groups slammed Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden for falsely boasting of the union’s endorsement.

Shawn Steffee, a trustee with Boilermakers Local 154, said that his members were shocked to hear the Democratic nominee claim their support on national television. While Biden claimed to have “sat down” with union leaders to have an in-depth discussion about his plans, Steffee said the Biden campaign never approached his membership. Biden’s criticism to fracking led Local 154—the largest local chapter of boilermakers in the country—to endorse President Trump.

“We had a moment of disbelief when our members started blowing our phone up because they said we flip-flopped on our endorsement,” Steffee told the Washington Free Beacon. “Nobody from his staff—nobody—has ever spoken with us, so I don’t know where he’s coming up with that.”

When ABC town hall moderator George Stephanopoulos brought up that some Boilermaker Union members do not trust Biden’s claim that he supports the fracking industry, the Democrat responded that the “Boilermaker Union overwhelmingly endorsed me.” The union’s national headquarters has not endorsed any candidates in the 2020 race, while Local 154 endorsed Trump in September.

TRENDING: Toddlers Can Be Killed Under Shocking New Euthanasia Law Proposal

Biden has consistently equivocated on the issue of fracking. When asked whether fracking and other fossil fuel industries will have a place in the Biden administration, the former vice president said he “would make sure it’s eliminated” and opposed subsidies for the industry. The nominee has since adjusted his position to only oppose new fracking licenses on federal land. Kamala Harris, the Democratic vice-presidential nominee, also said, “there’s no question I’m in favor of banning fracking” before she joined Biden’s ticket. The Biden campaign did not respond to a request for comment.

Steffee said that Biden’s equivocation on fracking pushed the union, which represents the Pittsburgh area, to support Trump.

“[Biden] said I will do away with fracking, then it was just fracking on federal land, so I don’t know what his story is,” he said. “But I do know President Donald Trump has embraced our energy independence and wants to grow the infrastructure on energy—and the Boilermakers absolutely want to be a part of it.”

Fracking has emerged to be a key campaign issue in battleground states that rely on the shale industry. Michigan and Ohio together have more than 400,000 workers in the shale industry, while Pennsylvania alone has 320,000 workers. Trump has leaned into his consistent support for the fracking and natural gas industry during the campaign season, repeatedly saying that Biden wants to ban fracking.

The national headquarters of the Boilermakers Union did not respond to a request for comment.

Biden: Muslims Will Serve ‘At Every Level’ of His Administration

By Robert Spencer with PJ Media

The sparse attendance and conspicuous lack of enthusiasm at Joe Biden’s rallies seem to have led old Joe’s handlers, despite his 10,000-point lead in the polls, to decide that another round of Islamopandering might be just the shot in the arm their campaign needs. After all, hard-Leftists such as Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Linda Sarsour are all Muslims. All were firmly in the Bernie Sanders camp before the Democratic National Committee shivved their man yet again. Their support for Biden has been decidedly tepid. And so it was time to send them some love.

On Wednesday, Biden released a video message to Muslim Advocates, the association of Muslim lawyers that bears the primary responsibility for demanding, back in 2010, that the Obama administration remove all mention of Islam and jihad from counterterror training. Of course, Obama immediately complied, although this would hamstring the ability of law enforcement and intelligence agencies to understand and defeat jihadists. And now Joe is working hard to show them that he will be just as solicitous.

“Today,” Biden declared, “trust is ebbing; hope seems elusive. Instead of healing, we’re being ripped apart.” That’s actually true, Joe, but whose fault is it, really? Biden continued: “And I refuse to let that happen. We have too bright a future to leave it shipwrecked on the shoals of anger and division.” After that poetic flight, Biden got to the point: “As president, I’ll work with you to rip the poison of hate from our society, honor your contributions and seek your ideas. My administration will look like America, Muslim Americans serving at every level.”

TRENDING:

Let’s see. Muslims make up around one percent of America’s population. So if the administration of President Biden (or President Harris, or President Pelosi) is actually going to “look like America,” it will feature one Muslim appointee for every ninety-nine non-Muslim appointees.

Of course, the Democrats are unlikely to be that rigorous. Biden needs the support of the hard-Left, including not only Muslims such as Omar, Tlaib, Sarsour, and their Muslim supporters but their non-Muslim supporters as well, who are likely thrilled that Biden will be “inclusive” enough to place large numbers of Muslims in positions of power and influence. And in doing so, the Biden/Harris/Pelosi administration is unlikely to make any effort whatsoever to rule Sharia supremacists, Muslim Brotherhood operatives, and enemies of the freedom of speech out of consideration. Why that would be “Islamophobic.”

Come Join a social network site where your opinions are welcome, never silenced!

And if there is anything Biden doesn’t want to appear to be at this point, it’s “Islamophobic.” At his town hall Tuesday, where George Stephanopoulos and Co. fawned over him for an hour and a half, Biden once again repudiated what he called the “New Green Deal,” although his website still affirms support for it. The far-Left is increasingly dominant in the Democratic Party and doesn’t take kindly to the candidates repeatedly throwing them under the bus. And so look! He said, “Inshallah”! And now he wants Muslims at “every level” of his administration!

Will the far-Left be fooled by this? Probably not, as they’re eviler than they are stupid, but they don’t really have any other place to go. The notorious anti-Semite and former Women’s March leader Linda Sarsour signaled last July that she was keeping Biden on a short leash, stating, “I choose Biden” and then immediately emphasizing that her support was decidedly conditional: “But I choose him as my opponent in the White House. I want him to defeat Trump so we can mobilize our movements to hold him accountable and push him to do and be better. We can’t do that with Trump.”

Campaign Spokesman For Democrat Mark Kelly Called Cops ‘Worthless F***ing Pigs’; Campaign Responds

The campaign spokesperson for Arizona Democrat Senate candidate Mark Kelly called Chicago police officers “worthless f***ing pigs” in response to rowdy activists clashing with the police over the summer.

“T.J. L’Heureux, Kelly’s deputy press secretary, posted the message in response to a video that showed Chicago police clashing with protesters over the summer. ‘You worthless f—ing pigs,’ wrote L’Heureux on Aug. 17, directing the message to the Chicago Police Department’s official Twitter account,” The Free Beacon reported. “The post came as the Kelly campaign has sought to portray itself as moderate on policing issues. Kelly, whose parents were police officers, has said he opposes defunding law enforcement agencies, a policy supported by some Democratic lawmakers and leaders of the anti-police protests erupting across the country.”

Joe Clure, the executive director of the Arizona Police Association, slammed Kelly’s campaign for the vile remark.

“It sadly isn’t the first time I’ve seen this from Democratic campaign personnel,” Clure told the The Free Beacon. “I hope that [Kelly] fires [the staffer] immediately to show that he doesn’t condone this kind of attitude that police are ‘f—ing worthless.’”

TRENDING:

The campaign tried to distance itself from L’Heureux’s remarks by writing in a statement: “Our campaign values the public service, bravery, and sacrifice of police officers across our nation. The tweet posted by a junior staff member is unacceptable and we are taking the appropriate action.”

Kelly was recently in the news after an undercover sting video from James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas showed a campaign staffer for Kelly seemingly admitting that Kelly—who claims to be a supporter of the Second Amendment—will go after guns if he gets elected.

A member of Kelly’s campaign suggested on video that Kelly was trying to win over Republicans who were sick of Trump and Independents, but did not want to turn them off with gun control.

“One of their main issues is guns,” the staffer said. “So, I don’t think he’s fully, like, been out there saying, like, I want like a full gun control type measure, and I think it’s because he just wants to get elected first and then he wants to go further.”

Kelly has also faced scrutiny over his ties to communist China after he attended, while an astronaut, in 2003 “the annual Young Leaders Forum, a five-day junket co-hosted by the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs, which is ‘under the leadership of the Communist Party of China,’ The Free Beacon reported separately. “The conference allowed Kelly an opportunity to mingle with high-profile Communist Party officials and rising stars in Chinese society. Attendees included Cui Tiankai, now Chinese ambassador to the United States; Fang Xinghai, former director of the CCP’s top committee on the economy; and Zhou Mingwei, the party’s former top foreign propaganda honcho.”

“Kelly has also had extensive ties with China since becoming a civilian,” the report added. “World View Enterprise, an aerospace company he co-founded and in which he still holds investments, received funding from Chinese tech giant Tencent, which censors the internet for Beijing. As the Washington Free Beacon reported, he also held a financial stake in a Colorado company that courted investments from a Chinese state-funded tech enterprise.”
