US Vetoes UN Attempt To Force Change In American Policy
In what was termed by U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley as an embarrassment for the UN, the UN voted on a resolution to try to halt the US or any nation from moving their embassy to Jerusalem, a move that was vetoed by the US.
This resolution was entered by Egypt, supported by Jordan and Lebanon and backed by the European nations on the council.
In the first veto used in six years the US vetoed an obvious attempt by the UN to try to dictate to the US what our foreign policy could be, thankfully we had someone in the White House and the UN that would stand up to such an obvious attempt to dictate US International policy, a welcome change from the last administration who on exiting office stabbed Israel in the back.
What was not surprising was the continued anti-Israel move by our allies France and Britain, but then it was France who happily helped the fascist to rid themselves of their Jews in World War 2, so such a move now should not be surprising.
History of British Moves Against the Jews and Israel
Britain should not surprise anyone either, after drafting the Balfour Resolution in WW1 have worked feverishly to try to strip Israel of their capital and nation. After they and the rest of the free world had defeated the Ottoman’s, they then turned their attention to undo what they promised in the Balfour declaration.
Contrary to the myth they love to tell, Britain never aided in the creation of Israel, in fact, the only thing they aided in was to give aid to the Arabs in their attempt to destroy the nation. After the surrender of the Ottomans in the Treaty of Serves, they signed over their sovereign Middle East holdings to the League of Nations that was just newly created. The League than in an overwhelming vote after setting up the Mandates to aid in self-determination of the territories that had been part of the Ottoman empire, thus had not known self-determination or self-rule in hundreds of years, the League put together three major Mandates, the Mandate of Syria, Mesopotamia, and Palestine, the only one we will focus on here is the Mandate of Palestine.
In the Mandate of Palestine, the League of Nations in with land they had just acquired sovereignty over deeded this land to self-rule but had put France and Britain in place to aid in meeting this goal, Britain had no such intention of honoring their part. In 1918 the Mandate of Palestine was as this map shows:
As you can see, the Golan Heights, the land today that makes up the Jordan Kingdom was part of that Mandate, Britain as soon as they took control set about violating the Mandate. In the Mandate there were specific items laid out; first, who the land was intended for:
MANDATE FOR PALESTINE, The Council of the League of Nations : Whereas the Principal Allied Powers have agreed, for the purpose of giving effect to the provisions of Article 22 of the Covenant of the League of Nations, to entrust to a Mandatory selected by the said Powers the administration of the territory of Palestine, which formerly belonged to the Turkish Empire, within such boundaries as may be fixed by them ; and Whereas the Principal Allied Powers have also agreed that the Mandatory should be responsible for putting into effect the declaration originally made on November 2nd, 1917, by the Government of His Britannic Majesty, and adopted by the said Powers, in favour of the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people....
At no time does it state the land was set apart for an Arab nation, let alone two. In fact it was very specific in stating that no foreign power could come in and take control of the land, yet Britain not long after they took control to appease the Arabs set about stripping over 70% of the Mandate, then to please the House of Saud that aided them in fighting Ottoman control in WW1 removed the Hashemite family who could have challenged them for power, instead place them in charge of the Mandate of Syria, Mesopotamia and the now newly land they had illegally taken from the Mandate of Palestine. What this violated, well that would be:
Article 5. The Mandatory shall be responsible for seeing that no Palestine territory shall be ceded or leased to, or in any way placed under the control of, the Government of any foreign Power.
Of course, by ceding the land to the Hashemites to appease them, the British did exactly what they agreed not to do.
But they went further, the Mandate also said in Article 6 that the British were to facilitate the migration of Jews to the land, they set about immediately stopping that, then set off allowing unrestricted migration by the Arabs to the land, trying to offset the demographics so the Jews could never achieve self-determination.
Article 6. The Administration of the Mandate of Palestine, while ensuring that the rights ami position of other sections of the population are not prejudicetl, shall facilitate Jewish imniigration umler suitable conditions and shall encourage, in co-operation with the Jewish agency referred to in Article 4, settlement by Jews on the land, including State lands and waste lands not required for public purposes.
What we basically had was an intent to not uphold the Mandate, then leading up to and during the Second World War the British promised the same land to multiple parties, knew they could not possibly honor them so they passed the Mandate to the UN.
You can find a complete text of the Mandate here, it used to be found with Yale, for some odd reason when parts of their claims were shot down by the very documents they held they cut off access to them by the public. Of course, the UN has done this as well. In the UN they used to display the 1964 PLO Charter, the one that they clearly in article 24 stated they had no claim to the West Bank or Gaza, then changed their charter in 1968 when Israel ejected both the Jordanians from the West Bank they had illegally occupied and annexed in 1950, and the Egyptians from Gaza. I go into this with “DID ISRAEL STEAL THE ANCESTRAL HOME OF THE PALESTINIANS?“, “The Palestinian Claim to Jerusalem” and you can see this with the Palestinian Charter of 1964 which states in article 24:
Article 24. This Organization does not exercise any regional sovereignty over the West Bank in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, on the Gaza Strip or the Himmah Area. Its activities will be on the national popular level in the liberational, organizational, political and financial fields.
The UN’s Violation of the Mandate and its own Charter.
The UN also has had a hand in this from the beginning. In their charter, article 77 and Article 80 state:
1 The trusteeship system shall apply to such territories in the following categories as may be placed thereunder by means of trusteeship agreements:
a. territories now held under mandate;
- Except as may be agreed upon in individual trusteeship agreements, made under Articles 77, 79, and 81, placing each territory under the trusteeship system, and until such agreements have been concluded, nothing in this Chapter shall be construed in or of itself to alter in any manner the rights whatsoever of any states or any peoples or the terms of existing international instruments to which Members of the United Nations may respectively be parties.
By not abiding by the Mandates, trying to impose a different settlement when they voted on UN Resolution #181, they directly violated their own charter, but that would have been immaterial anyways, the Arab’s voted against the resolution, then took military action to stop it from being implemented. Although the British refused to vote on it, they did aid the Arabs by having their soldiers and officers lead the Arabs against the newly announced Nation of Israel.
In spite of the British moves after UN Res #181 was voted on, to try to appeal to nations to revoke their vote, it all became immaterial when the Arabs attacked in force, under international law they lost any right to demand from that point forward that the treaty is enforced.
Further, when they, in turn, attacked Israel in 1973 they lost any right to demand that Israel abide by the 1967 armistice agreement, when you attack you void out all former treaties unless both parties agree to have them once more reinstated, something Israel never did, nor should they, due to the fact that even now there still exists technically a state of war between Israel and Syria.
Then and now
As we can see, the British and European powers are just resorting to what they have been for the last 2,000 years, anti-Semites. There was a pause when the horrors of what this taken to the extremes produced, but after 70 years looks like the attitude so prevalent in Europe for so long is returning in force.
What we have is a basic rewriting of history, the British love to tell the world they were the ones that aided in creating Israel, this is at its heart a bold face lie, they did all they could to deny such a thing, then lent their officers to lead the Arabs when it was a fact to undo such a move.
The UN and the nations are only once more doing what they have been trying to do over the last 70 years, to undo what they see as a historic mistake, allowing the Jews their homeland.
Now for you people that say this is unfair, I have one thing to ask. Why is it in most of the European news when Israel does something you hunt out Jews in your midst who are not Israeli citizens and demand answers of them? If you were not racist you would do the same exact things of Arabs when atrocities are committed in their lands. Yet how many Arabs have any news media, people on the streets demanded this of. Even when the Arabs rape, chant for the death of all Jews, you still go out of your way to protect them, even to the point of rejecting protecting your own citizens.
In a way it is truly sad, the place that produced the ideas of liberty, justice, human rights, logical thought, now they go out of their way to invite people who hold none of this as their own ideas in their midst, then when they attack, rape, threaten and take to the streets, you make excuses for them.
At this point, I think Europe is a dead man walking, freedom over the next 2o years will be exterminated by the Muslims as they move to make the continent theirs by any means. I go into this further in “GUIDE TO ISLAM AND ISLAMIC EXTREMISM“. I know such articles doesn’t make one popular, the left will use this to attack me, and have already done so repeatedly, but there is always one common factor, the TRUTH is the TRUTH, they never use Truth to fight what is said, they try to use emotions, mistakenly thinking such a thing is more important than facts, they couldn’t be more wrong.
So how should the US respond?
As I stated on Dec 17 with “UN AND MUSLIM NATIONS TRYING TO FORCE CHANGE ON JERUSALEM“, the US gives aid to nations like Jordan, Egypt, the Palestinians to help them out and to aid them in continuing in a political view that we support. If they are not willing to support this view, then maybe it is time we look at the $1.5 billion we have given to Egypt each year, the over $1 billion we give to Jordan, and the billions of dollars we give in aid to Arab nations, not to mention the military sales we make if they are going to try to undermine our foreign policies.
Now there is talk if we don’t do this then Russia may, that is pure rubbish, Russia is in such a financial bind due to oil prices that there isn’t much they can do. What is the most surprising of all this, the one Arab nation that used to be the most hateful to Israel, Saudi Arabia, is now allowing their own clerics to say the moves against Israel is shameful, it is not what Islam teaches. Of course, they have to play the game, show outrage in keeping their place with the Arabs, but they have also been reaching out to Israel over the last couple of years.
America holds the power, sadly starting with Carter we started to hand that away. It further slid under Clinton and finally, we started to withdraw giving up 70 years of American effort by Obama. It is time to take back our rightful place, let them know that we are back, the games are going to stop now.
